Steve Lewis Steve was born in the Malad, Idaho area to a musical family. His father played rag time music and really could make the piano shake, and his mother would sing to him as a child. While growing up, he would listen to the old western songs and sing along with the country artists. At age 13, Steve “long-term” borrowed his brothers’ guitar and would pick out the notes learning to play along with the songs on the radio. Steve formed his first band in junior high school. Throughout his school years he learned, along with the guitar, to play piano and the bass. He has been playing and singing for more than 30 years with a combination of country and country rock music throughout the intermountain west and has opened for several major artists throughout his career. Steve’s musical talents include playing lead guitar, rhythm guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and has written many of his own songs. His greatest influences in music were Elvis Presley, Marty Robbins, and Gene Autry. Steve’s other interests include camping, hunting, fishing, and riding horses. |
