Coyotee Moon
In February 2000, Steve and Lisa met at a musical gathering and while chatting about their mutual interests in music, their partnership began. Lisa sings lead and harmony vocal and plays rhythm 12-string guitar, Her greatest influences in music were Patsy Cline, Marty Robbins and watching the cowboys on the silver screen. Steve sings lead and harmony vocal, plays lead guitar, and fiddle. His greatest influences in music were Elvis Presley, Marty Robbins, and Gene Autry.
In February 2006, Dan Williams joined Coyotee Moon playing up-right bass and joining in with some vocal harmonies. Dan’s years of musical talent has been a great asset to the group. The songs they sing reflect the deep love of the cowboy way, the animals, and the nature that surround them. Through their music and the lyrics, you can experience the passion they feel in preserving the western way of life. Coyotee Moon has performed in Branson and Mountain View, Missouri, Lake Tahoe and Virginia City, Nevada, Denver, Colorado and numerous cowboy poetry gatherings including the Lewis Clark festival in Lewiston, Idaho and the Cedar City Cowboy Gathering. They also perform for benefits, senior centers, weddings, and private parties. Their first CD entitled “Back Before Barbed Wire Fences” was released in January 2004, which includes several original western songs. The awesome stage magic between them makes a great rapport with their audience. The fun and love for music and the reflection of older times gone by keeps Coyotee Moon together.
